[REACT-LIST] Amateur Radio Emergency Apps

I've buy the repeater directory every year and use the app. It's well worth
the price even if you don't travel outside of your local area.

Thanks, Tom. I just learned that today. Evidently, the software comes free
with the ARRL Repeater Directory. It may be on sale from some stores. Folk
may also be able to borrow the disc from a fellow ham who has it. Maybe
someone else has a lead or two on where it can be obtained inexpensively. It
sure sounds worth getting for anyone planning a trip.

Too bad the app isn't really free and never has been.

Well, technically, yes, it is free -- provided you don't need either 2M or
70cm -- but if you want the 2M and 70cm ham bands, you have to pay for the
app.

Thanks, Tom. Teams can check out both apps. A ham pal from back home sent a
note saying that the ARRL app is also very useful for its help in locating
points of interest (poi) along your route. You can check out that feature as
well, and let other hams in your area know about it. Safe travel.

Hi.

A really fine and free repeater directory app for smart phone is
repeaterbook. It lists repeaters with a radius selected by you and based
upon your current location.
