Nice to see an article in The REACTer concerning the REACT World-wide Net you and others have pioneered, Jay.

Hopefully, the wide publicity will encourage more check-ins from Team members across the continent and around the world. I am sure you and the other organizers of the Net are pleased with what you have achieved for REACT thus far. You should be. The lists of check-ins have grown and coverage has expanded far afield.

Should a disaster arise, your efforts will ensure that REACT has a number of operators familiar with the Net operations and protocols. That will enable the Net to swing into action quickly and efficiently to benefit victims of the disaster and those striving to ease their hardship.

Those who have been unable to check in to the REACT Net yet would be wise to do so soon. This is the time to practise, not when everything hits the fan. Take advantage. A local amateur operator will be happy to assist you to get started if you need help, and you may gain a new partner for your Team in the process.

Congratulations to all concerned, and thanks for the informative report in The REACTer. Well done all around.
